Everyone; school starts for me this month. How crazy is that? I feel like the summer was really long but also really short at the same time. Anyway, I can’t seem to figure out whether I’m upset that school is starting or happy… my emotions are everywhere:’D Either way, I’m excited to be finishing up high school and moving on.
The theme I used as inspiration for this month mostly came from Pinterest! I thought it was super adorable and fit into a classic sophisticated rose gold aesthetic🌷
I started my planning off by printing a page of a bunch of random pictures I liked. They all complimented each other nicely. My only criteria was that it fit the color scheme and it matched well with the other details.
You can find every single one of these pictures I printed on Google. That’s how easy it was. I think I literally looked up “rose gold aesthetic”. I especially like the bouji looking mansion pictures. I just recommend finding pictures that you like:)
Then, I cut them all out and starting experimenting with how I might want to the layout to look. Here are the different aspects I wanted to include for August:
- Cover page
- habits (tennis, running, netflix, YouTube)
- netflix shows
- dream log
- one line a day
- food log (dinner)
This month I’m also going start using my bullet journal as my everyday journal because my other one ran out of pages; I planned my first two days of August to give you an idea of the vibe I’m shooting for.
Anyways, here’s the first couple of pages.

I’m so happy with the way it turned out! I had the perfect roll of washi tape that matched the theme and I really loved adding all the little details to make the page look fuller (the stars, dots, diamods, lines etc.) Experimenting with how the corners and curves compliment each other is really quite fun. Here’s the other quote I used:
Some day we will find what we are looking for. Or maybe not – maybe we’ll find something much greater than that.
Above is my memories and food log page! These were simple; I didn’t really do anything too fancy. Like I said in my June bujo post, you really can’t go wrong with pasting things in. It gives the bullet journal a cute scrapbooking feel<3
This set of pages was by far my favorite. I loved adding the cute little borders and fonts. I especially enjoyed making the “dream log” title and using the black and white to accentuate each other. Again, I just added little dots to imitate stars.

Finally, here is my very simple layout for where I will be putting my daily entries. I wanted to make sure the designs I did for the everyday logs were simple so that I wouldn’t get overwhelmed and stop writing. It looks really plain without the writing that’s going to fill it.
I still have quite a few picture cutouts left over so I’ll periodically paste those into my daily journal entries for a pop of color and something different.
What did you guys think of this setup? Do you like this theme? I’m sorry I was a little later with getting this post out.
Thanks for reading:)
